Alessio Romagnoli, Davide Calabria and Ignazio Abate were out injured, but Nikola Kalinic was dropped for showing a poor attitude in training. The Flying Donkeys were very much grounded by three defeats in a row, missing Alessandro Gamberini and Riccardo Meggiorini.
