Serie A: AC Milan vs. Udinese - match preview
11.9 || webmaster

AC Milan are looking forward to retrieve lost ground as well as improve their rather poor defence by beating Udinese today at the San Siro.

It's been a lively start of the season for the Rossoneri due to new coach Vincenzo Montella imposing his own style, but major issues are still left to be solved considering the team conceded six goals in the first two games.

They barely won 3-2 against Torino in the first round largely thanks to a last penalty minute save by 17 year old goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma's against Andrea Belotti.

It was still Donnarumma that last week became the youngest ever Italian national team goalkeeper by playing the last half of the friendly against France.

Milan are without M'Baye Niang and Juraj Kucka after them being sent off against Napoli as well as newly signed Mati Fernandes - injured during international duty - Andrea Bertolacci and Cristian Zapata.

Luca Antonelli is set to win the spot at left-back ahead of Italian international Mattia De Sciglo and Jose Sose will get a spot in midfield.

Carlos Bacca will start up front making a long trip this week for international duty. Gianluca Lapadula will take the bench.

Udinese lost 4-0 to Roma in the first round. They lost their Coppa Italia gaime as well. However, they managed to win against Napoli in the second round.

Thomas Hertaux, Samir and Marco Davide Faraoni are out injured while Cyril Thereau is back after a two rounds suspension.

The midfield will star Sven Kums alongside Rodrigo De Paul and the front spot will be secured by Duvan Zapata.

The last Udinese victory against Milan at San Siro happened in 2007, 3-2. Other than that, they drew three times and lost six of the games. They had more luck in Coppa Italia where they won twice, in 2010 and 2014.

Milan: Donnarumma; Abate, Paletta, Romagnoli, Antonelli; Poli, Montolivo, Sosa; Suso, Bacca, Bonaventura

Udinese: Karnezis; Widmer, Danilo, Felipe, Armero; Badu, Kums, Hallfredsson; Thereau, De Paul; Duvan Zapata
