Milan fought back from 2-0 down to hold Hellas Verona 2-2 in an extraordinary match, as Zlatan Ibrahimovic missed a penalty, hit the woodwork, then scored the stoppage-time equaliser.

Alessio Romagnoli pulled out in the warm-up with a muscular problem, so Matteo Gabbia stepped in. Verona missed Andrea Favilli, Kevin Ruegg, Koray Gunter, Marco Benassi, Marco Davide Faraoni, Miguel Veloso and Ronaldo Vieira, but started ex-Milan flop Nikola Kalinic.
