Verona vs AC Milan Ė match preview
9.9 || webmaster

AC Milan has been struggling to find the perfect form in the last few years. And even though the team had some good games and important wins, the big problem is the consistency. There are many speculations as to what went wrong and how to fix the problems. One thing is for sure though, the transition period will require some patience and smart leadership.

The season start has not been that kind for Milan. They were struggling in the summer friendlies, losing against Bayern (1-0), Benfica (0-1), and Manchester United (2-2 [5-4]). Their only win was against Feronikeli (0-2).

Everybody thought that the problems would fade with the start of Serie A. Milanís first game against Cesena ended with a draw, they lost against Udinese but came out victorious against Brescia. Even though they have a pretty unstable record, it is still the start of the season, and judging by their style of play, the team will improve massively.

With that being said, letís see what are Milanís odds against Verona, what is Veronaís record against Milan, and what is the possible outcome.

Milanís odds Against Verona

Considering the rocky start of the season, Milanís odds of winning the game are 8/13. Veronaís odds on the other side, are 9/2, and the odds for a draw are 14/5. If you are open to betting on goals, or if you want to try your luck on live betting, the betting lines at 888 sportsbook are really good.

Verona vs AC Milan Record

So far, Milan and Verona have crossed paths 36 times in two tournaments, the Serie A and Coppa Italia. Half of those games were played at San Siro and the other half at Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi. The Serie A was their most visited battlefield, 34 out of the 36 games were played in the league. In those 34 games, AC Milan came out as victorious on 26 occasions. Verona registered 2 wins, and 6 matches resulted with a draw.

In Coppa Italia, the two teams only played 2 games. Milan won 1 game, and the second game was a draw. All in all, out of the 36 games, AC Milan was the better side 27 times, 7 games resulted in a draw, and Verona won 2 times. The total amount of goals that Milan scored was 71 and conceded another 25.

With that being said, Milan is the obvious favourite in the game. Some of the players are eager to prove themselves, which is a big plus for the teamís overall mentality.

Injuries and Suspensions

Currently, Milan has 3 players that will probably be unavailable for the game against Verona. Mattia Caldara suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in May, and he is expected to return towards the final week of November. Theo Hernandez is also off the list. He suffered a capsular rupture in his ankle, but he is likely to return for the match. Lucas Biglia is last on the list, he has adductor problems since the end of August. The player does not have an expected return date. No players have been suspended and hopefully, the list of injured players will not be bigger by the next week.
