Inzaghi still an optimist after Chievo draw
1.3 || webmaster

Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi is keeping up his glass half-full approach, even after Milan's dismal performance in their draw against Chievo. In the interview he gave, he also gave extra explanations regarding Alessio Cerci's role in the team.

"I believe we tried to play a good game and performed considerably better in the second part by creating scoring opportunities with Honda hitting the crossbar and Menez's counterattack", he told Sky Sport Italia.

"We must be more efficient offensively, make the right decisions and finish, because it's tough playing against teams like Chievo that are defending with the whole team."

Despite Milan being without a win away from home since October last year and never winning two games in a row this season, Inzaghi remains optimistic, and if you agree with him you can put your money where your mouth is with the 2015 promo code for betvictor.

"I look at the glass and it's half-full as it's our second consecutive clean sheet. Unfortunately we once again lost players to injury and our finishing was lacking."

"I regret not having scored, even more so since we've improved our posession in the last couple of matches."

Players lost to injury include Riccardo Montolivo and Nigel de Jong, the latter being replaced by Alessio Cerci in the last minutes of the game.

"During the last 10 minutes I risked it as we wanted to win. I have put Bonaventura in midfield as he does a good job regardless of position. I prefer to keep a sub for the last 15 minutes of a game as you never know what's going to happen."

"We wanted to use four offensive players but that cannot be sustained by our midfield as our midfielders are not fully fit after their injuries. We're going to rotate them in the next couple of game."

"The circumstances force me to leave out players like Cerci and Pazzini. Cerci could play not only as a winger but also as a trequartista or support striker."

"As I said before, he's a player I wanted at Milan and we'll get 100% out of him but he rarely played while at Atletico so he must first get in shape."

"We really gave our best trying to score. Mattia Destro has done great and I am happy with his work-rate."
