Milan are reportedly interested in signing Marseille winger Hatem Ben Arfa on loan until next summer.

Il Corriere dello Sport understands that Milan are looking to alternatives for Alexandre Pato and Ronaldinho who often play as outside forwards.

Marseille are prepared to loan out French football’s enfant terrible for €1m with an option to sign him outright for between €7m and €8m.

The 23-year-old former Lyon starlet, who has already won five League titles in France, has also been linked with Newcastle United.

Ben Arfa was a member of France’s provisional 30-man squad for the World Cup in South Africa earlier this summer.

His talent isn’t up for debate, but question marks remain over his temperament.
