Amelia: 'AC Milan will get the title back' 23.7 || webmaster

Milan's new goalkeeper Marco Amelia has promised the club's fans that he will help wrest the title back from rivals Inter.
The Rossoneri haven't won the Scudetto since 2004 and there is concern that they are dropping further behind the competition.
Amelia joined on loan from Genoa this summer and will compete with Christian Abbiati for the No 1 shirt at San Siro.
Speaking from Milan's training camp, Amelia said: “Our cousins Inter won everything last year. We'll try to unstitch the Scudetto from their jersey and attach it to ours."
When asked about his relationship with Abbiati, the 28-year-old replied: “There are 25 starting players in this squad and everyone must be ready at the right moment.
“Christian has been at Milan for many years and it's probable that he has something extra, but my principal objective is that of convincing the club to sign me outright, seeing that I am here on loan.”
Amelia then revealed that he left Genoa partly because of differences with Gian Piero Gasperini.
“I accepted his decisions even if I didn't share them. I didn't speak a lot with him or with many of the others.
“He is a very strange kind of guy. I never understood his decisions and I wasn't the only one.
“I didn't speak with him during the season and today I am not interested in doing so any longer.
“When he spoke about technical decisions, everyone asked him questions. Someone said that there was a behavioural problem and this bothered me the most also because if there was a problem of this nature, the club would have intervened.
“I was surprised to get Milan's call because I was certain that I would be staying at Genoa and I wanted to have another positive year and show everyone my worth.
“Then Buffon got injured and there was a market for goalkeepers. When Milan called me I thought it meant I had done something good.”
