AC Milan renew Zambrotta's contract

Milan have continued tying down their veteran players by offering Gianluca Zambrotta a contract extension.

Veteran goalkeeper Christian Abbiati signed a new deal on Monday, which will keep him at San Siro until 2013.

Massimo Oddo joined him on Wednesday. The former Lazio full-back’s contract was due to expire at the end of next season.

He will now be a Milan player until June 2012.

Zambrotta was the next in line for an extension, as his existing deal was also set to come to an end next summer.

The World Cup winner has followed Oddo’s lead in adding a year onto his contract.
