AC Milan wanted Donadel swoop 21.7 || webmaster
Source: Football Italia
Speculation in Italy is suggesting that Milan were close to signing Marco Donadel last week before talks with Fiorentina collapsed.
Reports claim that the midfielder was practically a Rossoneri player after the San Siro giants made contact with the Viola.
Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino was ready to let the former Under-21 international go, but not in the way Milan were suggesting.
Rather than a cash offer, the Giuseppe Meazza outfit offered Marek Jankulovksi in a straight swap deal.
Although a Czech international, who can play on the left in defence and in midfield, Corvino wasn’t interested.
