AC Milan fans hold protest 20.7 || webmaster
Source: Football Italia
Around 3,000 Milan supporters have held a protest at the club's training ground against the owner Silvio Berlusconi.
Today marks the start of Milan's pre-season training under new boss Max Allegri and Berlusconi is due to attend.
Milan's fans are particularly aggrieved at the club's lack of ambition in the transfer market.
This morning, the Rossoneri formally announced the signing of Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Genoa, although that is unlikely to have appeased the supporters.
A press release was issued in which the Ultras asked the club's directors to change their tendencies and rejuvenate the squad.
“We perfectly understand the general economic situation and the problems big clubs are having in investing and managing budgets.
“But you can still make big signings without spending ridiculous figures. We will continue our protest against those who no longer show love for our Milan and are completely and exclusively involved in extra-football activities.
“For us, nothing has changed in our stances towards Berlusconi. He continues to be an unjustified absentee.”
