Milan striker Alexandre Pato believes his side has what it takes to challenge for honours next season. The Rossoneri start pre-season training today under new boss Massimiliano Allegri. Milan supporters are expected to hold a protest against the club’s frugal campaign in the transfer market, partly because Silvio Berlusconi is due to attend training. However, Pato isn’t the least bit concerned about the current state of the squad. “I am happy to have returned to Milan. I had a good flight. I am ready to start the new season and do well at Milan,” he said. “Today I’ll speak with Allegri. He is a great Coach.” Pato was then asked about Ronaldinho’s future amid speculation that the former World Player of the Year might leave for Flamengo. “I want Dinho to stay, he is a great friend. If we do well this year we can win the Scudetto and the Champions League,” he concluded.
