AC Milan balance sheet in red

AC Milan's balance sheet registered a record breaking loss of €145.9 mil for the fiscal year 2018 - 2019 and a revenue drop of 6.1%. However, the club insists fans should not worry about this data.
The club's CEO Ivan Gazidis signed on the paperwork. He said the loss was around €20 mil worse compared to the previous year.
The reported loss is the largest in the club's history but more concerning remains the drop in revenue.
The revenue has fallen in absolute terms from €255.8 mil in 2017-2018 to only €241.1 mil in 2018-2019. That would be 6.1% in relative terms.
The only positive spot is the raise in revenue from TV rights of 4.1% but this was compensated by revenue drops from player sales, sponsors and ticket sales.
Telecom Italia did not renew their contract with the club and this contributed a big chunk of the €6.7 mil revenue drop from sponsors.
On top of all this, the costs of running the club climbed to €373 mil, up 5.1% compared to the previous season.
Significants sums were spent on incoming players on loan, including €10.2 mil for Gonzalo Higuain for only half a season from Juventus and €2.9 mil for Tiemoue Bakayoko from Chelsea for a full season.
MilanNews.it claim insiders mentioned that the data is a bit more negative than it should be due to the restructuring Elliott is implemented and it might be worth betting for a turnaround using skybet betting requests.
It is worth remembering that Elliott also pulled the club out of Europa League in order to start clean with UEFA.
Costs were also recorded for the training ground, the press room and social media / web marketing.
AC Milan Prepared to Move in on Man Utd Target

AC Milan could make moves to sign two Napoli players within the next few months, with one of those players being a Man Utd free transfer target. Milan haven’t made the strongest of starts to the season under Marco Giampaolo, which has caused some speculation that they will add to the team in the upcoming transfer window in January.
Reinforcements required
Whether signing any new players will make a difference to the team remains to be seen. It should see the odds shorten of Milan achieving something this season, although fans are more likely to want to play slots than bet on their team winning anything with the current squad. The team are clearly aware of the fact that they lacking talent, with links to numerous players over the past few days, including Sandro Tonali, Donyell Malen, Everton Soares, Jan Vertonghen, Santiago Arias, and Serge Aurier.
Now a further two names can be added to the mix in the form of Jose Callejon and Dries Mertens, both currently playing with Milan’s Serie A rivals Napoli.
Impressive numbers for both players
The 32-year-old Mertens is in top form for Napoli, with three goals in three league games, making it 65 goals in a total of 111 appearances since the beginning of last season. Manchester United, who have been strongly linked with the player, are rumoured to be planning to land him on a free transfer next summer. Of course, the interest from Milan may just scupper United’s plans.
Meanwhile, Callejon has also played a significant role in Napoli’s recent success, scoring 28 goals and adding 34 assists in 113 games, also from the start of last season. Giampaolo, who has had to defend his decision-making of late, could use both players to bolster his squad.
Milan and United compete on second player
Another player caught in the middle of Milan and United is Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali. Other European clubs are also rumoured to be keeping an eye on the 19-year-old, with Ajax and Borussia Dortmund both touted as possible landing spots for the player.
In fact, both teams, along with United, sent scouts to watch his side’s recent 4-3 defeat to Bologna, a match in which Tonali came off after 79 minutes of play for the 10-men Brescia. Tonali is regarded as a potential target for Milan after the team reportedly made a bid in the region of €15-20m, with an option of sending him back to Brescia on a season-long loan.
Brescia yet to name their price
Calciomercato claims that Milan are keen on another approach for the player, but that United are also serious in their pursuit, after having scouted Tonali on multiple occasions. Calcio have gone as far as to suggest that United are Milan’s main competition, with both clubs waiting for Brescia to name their price.
The player himself has said that he doesn’t have a preference on who he plays for and that staying with Brescia and becoming an icon for the club remains a possibility.
