‘Gattuso at AC Milan for many more years’ 17.3 ||webmaster
Massimiliano Mirabelli has confirmed that Milan intend to go on with Gennaro Gattuso ‘for many more years.’
Gattuso has turned Milan’s fortunes around since becoming their Coach towards the end of last year, although he failed to prevent their elimination from the Europa League at the hands of Arsenal on Thursday.
Mirabelli: Different result with VAR 17.3 ||webmaster
Massimiliano Mirabelli insists Milan ‘weren’t inferior to Arsenal’ and that Thursday’s game ‘would’ve ended differently’ with VAR.
Milan lost 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium, confirming their exit from the Europa League, but the second leg was marred by Arsenal scoring a penalty after a Danny Welbeck dive, when the score was still 1-1.

Scorers: Mkhitaryan 15 (A), Ramsey 45+3 (A)
Milan’s Europa League ambitions are in tatters after a 2-0 home defeat to Arsenal, as Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Aaron Ramsey silenced San Siro.
The Rossoneri were going in unbeaten in 13 competitive games and having just qualified for the Coppa Italia Final. Luca Antontelli, Mateo Musacchio, Ignazio Abate and Andrea Conti missed out, but Arsene Wenger’s fallen giants were in disrepair. The Gunners sold Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud, Theo Walcott and Mathieu Debuchy in January, had Alexandre Lacazette, Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal injured, with ex-Milan youth team player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang cup-tied.
Milan boss Rino Gattuso is ‘a great Coach’ who has always been ‘underestimated,’ according to Marco Materazzi.
Gattuso has presided over an unbeaten start to 2018 in all competitions – helping the Rossoneri reach the Coppa Italia final, the last 16 of the Europa League and give themselves an outside chance of Champions League qualification.
Gennaro Gattuso could guide AC Milan back to the Champions League 1.3 ||webmaster
AC Milan looked destined to endure yet another disastrous season when they began disappointingly last year, picking up many underwhelming results in Serie A.
Following such a poor run of form throughout their early domestic outings, AC Milan looked set to struggle in 2018, and it was Vincenzo Montella that faced the consequences as the former Fiorentina striker was sacked as manager by the fallen Milan giants.
The now 40-year-old Italian coach had previously delved into Milan management with the youth side but had other minor roles in the managerial aspect of the game beforehand. Nevertheless, he's a club legend and one that the hierarchy believed could finally overturn their form and fortunes in the short and long term.
Under the guidance of their former midfield enforcer, AC Milan aiming to finish in the top four places and secure their return to the Champions League for next season. They will have to get past bitter San Siro rivals Inter Milan in their latest domestic outing in order to continue their run, though, and they are 11/8 with bet365 in the Serie A betting to exactly that.
The Rossoneri are now on the trail of a return to Europe's elite club competition and Gattuso is one of the key reasons for this. Many of the previously underperforming stars of the side are now putting in great showings in Serie A and the Europa League, while others have emerged as pivotal players.
AC Milan have been on a great surge of form of late, having so far gone unbeaten in 2018 and are now just seven points adrift of fourth spot in the division table, which is currently occupied by derby rivals Inter Milan.
Another boost for the black and red club is the fact their neighbours Inter have been struggling badly, coinciding with their own purple patch throughout the year to date.
With only 12 games remaining in the race for the Serie A title and the European positions, a lot could come down to the upcoming derby clash between the two Milan sides at the San Siro Stadium. But prospects are looking very promising for a derby day success after Gattuso has instilled a revived sense of unity and pride to wear their club colours during each and every match day.
AC Milan general manager Marco Fassone is confident they can rally to success and eventually finish in the top four this current campaign.
"We've got to believe in it," he stated. "You can never say never in football and these gaps have been reduced.
"The lads believe in it and [Gattuso] has the desire, so let's look forward, and why not?"
A win on derby day would be a huge boost for AC Milan's hopes of achieving a Champions League spot and it's looking more and more likely they can do exactly that.
